Experiencing Life in the UK, One Chapter at a Time

When I first moved to London, I didn’t expect to stay this long. But years are flying by and next year I will be here for 5 years.
To stay longer than that, my work needs me to apply for indefinite leave to remain, which has as a requirement to pass the Life in the UK test. It is essentially a test of your knowledge about British life.
There’s a book to study for it, the Life in the United Kingdom: A guide for new residents. I have heard from others that it isn’t the most enjoyable experience to go through it because of the amount of facts it has.
Therefore, I thought, why don’t I spice it up for myself, by not only studying it, but living it, just like the name suggests.
So I embarked on this journey of exploring the UK through the handbook. For me, it isn’t about memorizing facts from a book. I have turned this into a real-life adventure.
Here’s the Plan
Each chapter of the book has become my travel guide. I’m visiting places, trying traditional foods, and experiencing the customs first-hand.
