I Deleted All Social Media Accounts and Replaced Them with Books

This is what happened to my life.

I deleted Instagram in 2018, Facebook in 2019, Pinterest in 2020. I still have a LinkedIn profile as a CV, but since 2020 I don’t use the platform anymore.

I was blessed to never have opened any of the other platforms, which makes them deleted by default for me.

In my free time, I decided to read books. Something that took years of dedicated work to create.

Instead of a thousand pieces of social media posts that took less than 5 minutes of thinking.

Anytime I had an urge to open an app, I would open Kindle or Audible and read/listen to a book.

Anytime I had an urge to scroll online pages, I would flip a book page.

Goodreads tells me now that I have read 231 books since 2020 when all my social media was deleted.

That’s brings my total number of lifetime read books to 694.

I started reading and keeping track of my books when I was 7 years old.

At first was tracking them in a notebook, but then transferred everything in Goodreads during my teenage years, and I continue updating my shelves there to this day.
