I am tired.

What happened to the concepts of valuing time, being respectful, and keeping promises?

These values seem to have lost their significance. It’s as if time has become a flexible commodity, to be stretched and bent at the will of anyone without consideration of others.

Those few of us who remain committed to these values must live in agony. We’re constantly frustrated, disappointed, and misunderstood.

We’re the ones who are always early, the ones who always follow through, and the ones who always keep our word. But our efforts are often met with indifference or even disdain.

We often find ourselves questioning our own sanity. Is it truly unreasonable to expect people to honor their commitments? To show up on time? To communicate effectively?

We’ve tried to be understanding, to cut people slack, but it’s become increasingly difficult. The constant rescheduling, the last-minute cancellations, the broken promises — they take a toll.

We’ve learned to anticipate the unexpected, to factor in delays and cancellations. But it’s a draining…
