In a world obsessed with lifehacks and gym fads, it’s easy to overcomplicate things and always be searching for the next new thing — the magic bullet that will make you healthier and happier.
Well, I don’t believe in magic bullets, but if ever there was a single “prescription” to improve your overall health and well-being, it might be to take up hiking.
I’ve yet to find another activity that is enjoyable and that has so many benefits for your physiological and psychological health.
In this article, I highlight a few of the main reasons why if you are not a hiker, you should consider becoming one. I focus on the science of why hiking is so beneficial — and likely better than many of the modern exercise regimes we see marketed to us today.
