It's safe to say that living an intentional life has become part of the growing lingo of modern society.
Its appeal often lies in the way it’s romanticized by influencers and your favorite self-development gurus. Look close enough and you will find that like with most popular concepts, the end result, not the realities, often take center stage.
That's because it is HARD.
To live intentionally isn't a narcissistic endeavor or an aesthetic filter you can slap on your life. It's akin to healing and we all know that is a messy pursuit.
On my journey to intentional living, I have found that the waters are murky and unglamorous than the sales pitch I and many others have fallen for.
But has it been worth it? Yes.
Nonetheless, the deep work that it requires is unpretty.
Here are 5 uncomfortable realities that I have faced on this path, that may help you on yours;
Be ready to work
You can’t manifest your way into an intentional life.
In non-woo-woo terms, it demands your full presence-mind, body, emotions, and spirit most times. It's like self-awareness on steroids. And quite frankly, it's exhausting.
