“If I had married the right man, I could have ….,” was one of my mother’s favorites. My personal charts are currently topped by,
“I will never be a real businesswoman.”
And for a client this week, it was, “My mistakes make me unlovable.”
Considering our brains have infinite things to think about, it might surprise you that about 80% of our thoughts are negative and focus on past or future concerns, creating repetitive loops.
