How do you bring energy into each new day in your virtual environment?

It’s not easy. It is possible. Doing so makes all the difference. A technology executive I coach recently said to me,

Simple. Succinct. Powerful.

This starts from a position of passion, desire and energy. We have to want to be there for ourselves and the people we lead. If we don’t want it, whether we think so or not, it shows.

Yes, even on Zoom calls!

Energy

Our self-motivation and energy work in sync and give us the drive to go forward each day.

Start each day thinking deeper on your purpose, values and goals. Visualize what it will take for you to summon the energy necessary to do well and inspire others.

Your Purpose is your Why- the reason you’re doing the things you’re doing. This leads to defining success for yourself. This isn’t easy, but it’s the most worthwhile “work” you’ll ever do.

Your values form the foundation of your business career as a leader. Things like honesty, integrity, self-discipline, perseverance and patience. Choose wisely.

Set goals that are SMART. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-based.

Build this time in for your weekly planning on Sundays, and before the start of each work day. Yes, before you even check email. These things build energy and momentum. They build optimism which helps create positive energy.

I encourage you to harness your energy toward serving others. There’s true synergy we create when we aim to make the people around us better.

This empowers our mindset and motivates the people we lead.

Generate excitement from doing good to help others. You’ll be truly amazed at how much this will positively influence your life and outlook.
