February is usually a lovely month, isn’t it? It marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. But the thing people find most endearing about February is that it’s the month of love. Every year, media stays fixated on the capitalistic notions of red roses, teddy bears and cakes, yet people do their best to comprehend what love truly is. This February showed us both love and war, and we witnessed humans going above and beyond to show different kinds of love; love for their families, their homeland, and peace. Our Curiousapiens marked their love journeys by showing some much needed self-love.

The tough part about self-love is that you’re also looking inward. You know your flaws and your specialties. You know everything you did wrong and every right intention you ever had. And it may be hard to accept some parts but there’s also a rewarding side to self-love, which is self-growth. When we acknowledge our shortcomings, we take a step towards overcoming them. And with the same spirit in mind, we did our best to learn this February. From tips to cracking any interview to understanding mental health through the lens of goal setting, our students tried their best to prepare themselves for the world out there. Not only this, we did two super interesting curious pursuits on understanding two distinct worlds — one of lawyers and paperwork and the other of artists and paints.

Our February laid the perfect stone for magical March. With two weeks in, and women’s day having made it to our calendars and social feeds recently, our students have marched into March with a hope for humanity, equality and justice. And we are planning to spend our month singing songs and sharing poetry of resilience, hope and love. This month we are focusing on the beauty of words, both written and performed through interesting talks with authors and poetry slams. So when spring finally dawns on us, we’re ready to welcome it with colours and joy throughout March, not just on Holi. Here’s what we have in store for you this March:

  1. Poetry Slam with Alisha Bardai (Zoom) — 13th March, 3 PM IST.
  2. Curious Talk with Deepika Shetty (CookBook Author) on IGTV- 19th March, 4 PM IST
  3. Curious Talk with Aynur for poetry on IGTV — 27th March, 5 PM IST
  4. Curious Talk with Simran Savlani (CookBook Author and Business Owner) IGTV — 2nd April, 5 PM IST.

To all the future writers, authors, poets and revolutionaries amongst our Curiousapiens, we hope to see you there. We hope, you will give us the hope we need, through your words and that our words will bring you the solace you need to nurture and grow. Remember, there’s always hope and on days you struggle to find it, we are here. In the words of Rainer Maria Rilke,

Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.

It will all pass, as long as we keep hoping and doing our best for each other. Here’s hoping this March we all can do our real best and grow together. You got this. We got this.
