No-breakout makeup: Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation

Selena Gomez’s new brand, Rare Beauty, aims to be ultra inclusive, especially when it comes to their flagship product, the Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation. But as Curology’s in-house beauty nerd, there’s one question that matters most to me: does it cause breakouts? It claims to be dermatologist-tested, non-comedogenic, and safe for sensitive skin. I analyzed the ingredients to see if this checks out.
Rare Beauty’s Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation boasts an impressive 61 shades (that’s 11 more than Fenty Pro Filt’r) and packaging designed for ease of use. It’s a medium-coverage foundation with a natural finish that enhances your skin’s natural glow. It’s also vegan and cruelty-free, which is great for animal-lovers like me. So, is it skin friendly? The short answer is yes!
Rare Beauty foundation is a good choice for acne-prone and sensitive skin. This foundation passes the cosDNA test, meaning its ingredients don’t tend to clog pores or cause irritation. Basically, when it comes to claims that Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation is non-comedogenic and non-irritating, the ingredients back these claims up!
This product might not be for you if you prefer full-coverage foundation, or super lightweight products like tinted moisturizers. It also contains dimethicone, a silicone. Dimethicone is one of my favorite ingredients because it can hydrate the skin and help to improve the appearance of pores. But silicones aren’t for everyone — some people feel they’re hard to blend into the skin. So if that’s you, then you might want to skip this product.
