Why Joe Rogan’s podcast crown is slipping
For a long time, Joe Rogan has looked unstoppable.
He is widely known throughout multiple industries: he was an actor and reality TV star; he is an Ultimate Fighting Championship commentator; he hosts a hugely popular podcast called (for ultimate name-marketing purposes) The Joe Rogan Experience.
But now, when his chosen candidate and seemingly favorite podcast guests are in power, his podcast ratings have started to fall.

Even before the 2024 election season, during which he heavily backed eventual winner President Trump, Rogan was hugely popular.
Rogan, with his show The Joe Rogan Experience, has “consistently topped the podcast charts in recent years.” He has been so culturally dominant throughout the 2020s that he recently disputed Adam Carolla’s status as the Guinness World Record holder for most unique podcast downloads (59,574,843 downloads, from 2009 to 2011).
