Community Update: Minecraft Forums!
Hello again, authors and mod users! We love being the bearer of good news, so here’s more coming at ya!
With Minecraft so near and dear to our and your hearts here at CurseForge, we’ve put passion into action. One of our main goals is to provide our modding community with a place to discover new mods, discuss your struggles and accomplishments, and engage with your fellow modders right here on the site. Part of fostering a community is giving you the platform and tools you need to congregate, share, and celebrate: Enter, The Forums.
We’ve heard your feedback: we put in the work and overhauled our Minecraft forums! We’ve struggled in the past to find a robust structure for the community’s needs, but we think we’re onto something now. Our intention behind the redesign is to be more accommodating and we have plans to continue improving on the work we’ve already done.
Here’s a glance into what has been done and what we plan to do:
Starting off, we’ve completely revamped the structure of the Forums. We’ve divided up the forums into more boards and categories to help you navigate and find the right place to have your discussions. These different categories are only the start as we have a feedback system that you can go to in order to suggest new topics! As we move forward, we’d love to help in any way possible so please let us know what should be added or changed!
The second major change was to our permission system. We’ve adjusted our groups, limits and permissions in order to accommodate the growing needs of our community. These will allow us to foster a safe and spam-free community while still allowing you to do what you want to do. These changes are only the beginning, and will be refined as time goes on!
As for what we plan to do going forward, we have a few ideas, but we’d love to hear what you want to see! So we have set up a suggestion board that you can go to and let us know what you think we should do!
So what are you waiting for? Go check out the new forums today!
