First Multi-Party Computation Digital Asset Wallet to Complete SOC 2 Certification
Today, Curv announced the company successfully received Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) Type II status following the completion of an independent audit of its service. Curv is the first and only Multi-Party Computation (MPC) digital asset wallet solution to achieve SOC 2 Type II status. The audit was conducted by EY Israel in compliance with the attestation standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Curv’s institutional wallet is built with a security-first mentality on the premise that custodians, OTC desks, exchanges, and asset managers need not compromise their security for full control and instant availability of assets.
“This audit confirms to clients globally that Curv’s systems and processes satisfy the SOC 2 standards and also highlights our ongoing commitment to enhance security in the digital asset space.”
- Itay Malinger, CEO and Co-founder of Curv
EY’s testing included examination of Curv’s policies and procedures surrounding security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of the entire platform. The report verifies Curv’s adoption of an established framework for internal controls that facilitates accountability and demonstrates Curv’s company-wide responsibility to security.
In May, Curv also obtained digital asset insurance protection of up to $50m for its customers from Munich RE. The SOC 2 certification is yet another milestone verifying Curv clients’ assets are secure and acknowledging Curv as the industry leader in delivering state-of-the-art cryptographic protection to organizations seeking to realize the full potential of their digital assets.
“We see potential risks and exposures every day in the digital asset market. Given security is at the core of our business, the responsible action was to initiate a rigorous independent audit process to verify that our systems are as secure as our clients deserve. We’re proud to be the first and only MPC digital asset wallet service to achieve SOC 2 compliance.”
