Can we benefit from smart city?

Nowadays, we are in an age of technological revolutions. Technology and science have bring many conveniences to us. The smart city has draw many government attentions. They believe that smart city could bring more benefits to their citizen. Indeed, Smart city has many advantages, it could make our life better and efficient.However, it also has some potential problems.

On the other hand, the development of smart city also bring some potential threats for government. Firstly, we have more data than before, some of data would be personal data or classified data. How to keep these data safe when you use them. It seems like that it become more easily for hackers to steal data than before. The smart city could produce hundreds of megabytes data per second. It is hard for government to prevent data leaking.

The choice and adaptability of new technology should therefore be carefully studied. I am more convinced that the smart city is beneficial to people as long as governments are aware of the disadvantages of such technology.
