Trend to watch: how videos increase marketing revenue
If you are looking for the next big thing in marketing to help you increase your revenue, you better watch for the latest news — pun intended.
Videos are the coolest trend right now, and it has been for a while. This might be the reason why social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have released promoted video’s features — auto play ads that appear amidst ordinary user posts.
The latest platform to join the team? Pinterest! The board-themed social network announced the new feature this month. The idea is to have video ads that can be paired with “buy” buttons.
Some really good statistics
Pinterest’ strategy shouldn’t come as a surprise. Brands that use video for marketing are growing their revenue 49% faster than brands that aren’t; 96% of B2B marketing professionals use some sort of video in their marketing campaigns and 73% of those report positive results from it.
If these statistics are not enough to convince you to adopt a video marketing strategy, let’s try some more reliable data. First of all, did you know that 1/3 of all online activity is spent watching video? More than that, online users are 27 times more likely to click on a video ad than a regular ad.
Yeap, videos do work better than any other content. In the age of content overload, videos are easier to digest, incredibly engaging and are the quickest way to your customer’s heart (and wallet, if that matters).
