I love Indian movies.

I know, most of the Indian movies based on Love Stories. Not only that, but I don’t like love stories much. I'm always looking for movies that made to change the mindset of society and give us a social message.

Movies That Force Me To Think And Changed My Mindset

Dear Zindagi (Dear Life)

This film is all about how we should live a life. The film is about Kaira. After a series of career and relationship downturns, Kaira begins suffering from insomnia. She contacts Dr. Jehangir Khan, a psychologist, who uses unconventional methods to treat her.

Her encounter with a jug(Dr. Jehangir Khan) changed her perspectives on life. The movie is all about how he helped her to live in a better way.

Lessons the movie wants to give to the audience

  • Don’t just choose the tough path just because you have to. You can find success with a less-traveled path.
  • No matter how perfect you are, there is no such thing as a perfect partner.
  • Parents can make mistakes because they are human, too. So believe in them and forgive them.
  • Self-respect should be your first priority to be happy.
  • Don’t feel shy or embarrassed to seek help for mental health.

The movie is perfect for every aged person. I learned a lot from this movie about life. No matter, what the situation is, life is everything.

Highway

A story of Veera who always wanted to make her home in the mountains. However, living in a metro city with her parents, she will never have the guts to follow her dreams.

Veera, a young bride-to-be, is abducted by a local gangster, Mahabir, and his men a day prior to her wedding. Far from being terrified of her abductor, Veera discovers a new meaning to her life.

She found her happiness. The movie was just fantastic. From direction and cinematography to performances and music. The locations are breathtaking. It’s not the exact love story, but yeah it’s the story of two people who want to get free and experience life.

The movie forces us to think about the society we live in and how people struggle to lead a normal life. Be it a rich family or a poor villager. They have their own challenges.

Veera finally gets her freedom after being kidnapped. She finally feels the freedom.

Veera faced physical abuse in her house. This is the movie about the fact that girls are not safe anywhere; be it on a lonely road or in their own house!

It’s just a perfect movie for me and might for you too.

These two are my all-time favourite movies from Indian cinema. I hope you will like it too.
