The Day Medium Died

Hello my friends — as the title suggests, my latest entry is gonna be grim. That’s the spoiler alert out the way, now let’s get down and dirty with the latest bulljive from the Medium crew, and yes, I’m feeling quite salty tonight.
I knew “changes” to the Medium Partner Program were imminent, and I didn’t really read any of the articles popping up on my homepage.
But, I did notice some peculiar things going on in July, main one being that I lost followers by the end of July . I was wondering how and why this could happen (after reading the “changes” I now know why), considering I usually had healthy numbers on the following front.
Granted follower numbers mean jack in the grand scheme of things — it was strange nonetheless.
Final straw was a few short days ago, when I noticed my pitiful earnings for Aug 1st. Even though reading time was pretty much the same for the last month or so — alarm bells started going off.
I checked out head honcho Tony Stubblebine’s page, and he had a post about the changes, so I decided to delve deeper.
Anyone else think Tony should become a hype man?
