We are social creatures, and most of our thoughts and habits form through continuous feedback loop from our environment and people we share the stage with on a daily basis.

Regardless what we think and how we perceive ourselves, the ones who surround us influence our vision, shape our thoughts, moods, and ultimately actions and habits.

Who are the 5 people you spend most of your time with?

Loved ones?

Friends?

Colleagues?

Facebook chatbot?

An astonishing number pops in my mind every time I think about this: 40 (many times 60) hours / week are spent with our team, our colleagues, our managers.

One week has 168 hours out of which:

  • 56 hours go into sleeping
  • 7–14 hours are used for mundane tasks
  • 7–14 hours are spent in traffic or commuting
  • If we add sports, shopping, a visit to the local authorities or the repair shop another 6–8 hours are spent.

We are left with roughly 90 hours out of which 40–60 hours are spent with people we work with.

Choose them carefully!
