Recap
Since the release of CyBall Reborn 2 months ago, the team has been busy working on the next major update to the game, ensuring that the community has something fun, yet at the same time creating an element of strategy to make CyBall more competitive. Rest assured, the next set of new features and game enhancements in Reborn v1.1 will not disappoint; but before we get into the details, let’s take a look at some of the highlights from our recent Cyrum Sale Event.
Cyrum Sale Highlights
The Cyrum Sale was another successful NFT drop event, selling out within roughly 2.5 days. The total CBT from the Cyrum sale was 2.46M, equaling to 2.2% of the current CBT total circulating supply.
As previously mentioned in our Cyrum Sale Event article, all Cyrums at the start are generic (pre-reveal) items which are currently tradable on the marketplace, however not yet revealed or usable. The specific classes and effects of the Cyrums will reveal themselves towards the end of this month, followed by the in-game integration which will allow users to deposit their Cyrums into CyBall game to apply onto their CyBlocs. Note, Cyrums are temporary items which will expire 30 days from the moment they are deposited into the game.
New Features (Reborn v1.1)
- New game mode: Custom Rooms — players can now set up rooms to compete in friendly matches, or organise and participate in self-hosted competitions/tournaments.
- Nicknames will be shown in custom rooms. In the future, nicknames will also appear on versus screen, strategy screen and match screen.
- New game feature: Replay function — matches will be recorded automatically, allowing users to review and study their matches to further refine their strategy and tactics.
- Windows (and Mac — TBC) version will run via a game launcher. Users will need to redownload the game.
In addition to the new features that have been added for Reborn v1.1, some quality of life and game enhancements have been made to allow for a more competitive and strategic gameplay.
Game Enhancements:
- In-built hotkeys during matches
- Arrow keys can now be used to hover over and select tactic cards
- 1/2/3 keys can be used to select (and unselect) CyBlocs
- Shift + 1–5 keys to view previous key events
- Revamped collection screen catering to mobile devices.
- Revamped strategy screen now showing CyBlocs, their skills and traits, for both teams — allowing players to make a more informed decision before jumping into a match.
Future Updates
In addition to the release of CyBall Reborn v1.1 on Windows and Android, we are aiming to release Mac and iOS by the end of August, once final testing is complete.
This latest major update of CyBall Reborn marks the first of many that include features which will not be supported in CyBall Classic. While users can still play the 3v3 Exhibition Mode within CyBall Classic, please note that we will no longer provide any support for bugs or issues that players encounter on that deprecated version. We intend to discontinue CyBall Classic completely from our next major update of CyBall Reborn.
As a sneak peak into v1.2, we will be releasing the inventory system, a feature that allows users to view their revealed Cyrums and any items that might be released in the future. Most notably, the highly anticipated mutant skins will be the first set of items to be integrated, which users can apply onto their CyBloc.
