Let the Mentoring Begin…
The long awaited CyBloc Mentoring is about to begin.
Mentoring feature will be released at 1.00 PM UTC Tuesday 22 March 2022, which will also be the start of the Genesis Mentoring period.
The current Genesis CyBloc population is 29,970, which we expect that through our Genesis Mentoring phase, will increase significantly. With a bigger CyBloc population, more users will be able to join the CyBall metaverse and as a direct result our matchmaking algorithm will also have a larger data pool to work with. As such, it is expected that users will also see further improvements in matchmaking and be matched up with those much closer to them in total skills.
CyLoans v2 and Flash Mentoring feature will not be live during the Genesis Mentoring phase and CyBlocs must therefore be recalled to be accessible for the Mentoring process. As mentioned in the previous post, we did not want to upset all CyBloc owners/lenders/guilds who intend to mentor, and have thus set the following conditions for the duration of the Genesis Mentoring Period:
- Mentoring’s 5-day Cooldown will be switched off from 1.00 PM UTC 22/03/2022 to 1.00 PM UTC 27/03/2022
- CyBloc level resets will be switched off from 12.00 PM UTC 22/03/2022 to 2.00 PM UTC 27/03/22
- CyLoans’ 24-hour recall timelock will be switched off from 12.00 PM UTC 22/03/2022 to 2.00 PM UTC 27/03/2022
- Genesis Rewards Program ($CYB) will also be paused for 5 days from 1.00 PM UTC 22/03/2022 to 1.00 PM UTC 27/03/2022, i.e. for the duration of the Genesis Mentoring period, and will then continue for an extended period of 5 days (i.e. day 55 to 59) to make up for this lost time. 1. Head to the “Mentors” tab from the CyBall Web App
2. Select 1 or 2 CyBloc(s) to be used in Mentoring
3. Click ‘Approve CBT’, ‘Approve BUSD’ and confirm each transaction in your crypto wallet (requires enough BNB in wallet to cover gas costs)
4. Click ‘Start Mentoring’ and confirm the transaction in your crypto wallet. Ensure you have sufficient fees (CBT and BUSD) to cover the Mentoring fee as well as enough BNB to cover gas costs
5. Once the transaction is confirmed, the newly minted CyPod from Mentoring can be found in the CyPods tab. This CyPod can either be sold on CyBall’s NFT Marketplace, or, upon waiting for 5 days, be opened to reveal a brand new CyBloc

Note there are boosted and unboosted CyPods:
- Boosted CyPods are minted when two mentors of the same Classes are used in the Mentoring process and have a higher chance of opening into CyBlocs of better Class
- Unboosted CyPods are minted when one single mentor, or two mentors of different Classes are used in the Mentoring process
- Boosted CyPods will have the word “Boosted” in the CyPod Details Page, have 2 lines and a lot more particles shining in the background video compared to unboosted CyPods
