Nickname, Clubs, CyLoans V2, Flash Mentoring and Guild Leaderboard (Season 1)
Greetings CyBallers!
At 1.00 PM UTC today (Friday 22 April), the next big update to our suite of Web-Apps (https://app.cyball.com/) will go live!
Read on to learn more about what we have been working on and how to use them.
Nickname
Users can now choose and/or edit their nicknames within the ‘Profile’ section on https://app.cyball.com/. These nicknames will eventually be displayed on the leaderboard as well as integrated in-game within CyBall Reborn.
By default, the users’ wallet addresses will be used as nicknames until they are updated (similar to popular NFT Marketplace and DeFi platforms).
To update your nickname:
1. Head to Profile on https://app.cyball.com/ and connect your wallet
2. Click the Edit (✏️) icon within the top banner
3. Type in your new preferred nickname and click [Save]
Clubs
Clubs are a complementary feature of CyLoans to help guilds, lenders and/or managers manage and whitelist their members or borrowers in batches. In future releases, we plan to integrate Clubs into CyBall Reborn game and evolve this feature to become CyBall’s in-game/in-app social network, a concept widely adopted in popular traditional games.
To access Clubs, head to Profile -> Clubs on https://app.cyball.com/.
Within Clubs dashboard, users will be able to find three different sections:
- Club Manager: Only for the Club’s Owner (Manager). This is where the owner/manager of a Club can create, edit and manage their Club, Squad and Members.
- Home: Contains all basic information of the Club you are managing
- Squads: Contains the list of Squads within your Club
- Members: Contains the list of Members within your Club. By default, the Club’s Owner/Manager is the first member.
- My Club: For both Club’s Owner and Members. This section displays basic information about your current Club. Members can also leave a Club from here.
- List: List of all Clubs that have been created. Users can request to join a club here and wait for approval from the Club’s Owner/Manager.
NOTE: This is a pre-release of Clubs which will only allow certain whitelisted guilds (those that are on the Guilds Leaderboard) to create and manage their Clubs. CyLoans integration for Clubs is also not enabled yet. Additionally, a Club’s Owner/Manager cannot leave, or remove themselves, or delete the Club. To edit an existing Club, use the “Home” tab under Club Manager. To create a new Club entirely, users must create a new wallet/account.
CyLoans V2
(Note: Please avoid using Wallet Connect during the CyLoans V1 -> V2 migration process if possible)
Guild owners, managers plus all other CyLoans lenders, it’s time to migrate your CyBlocs to CyLoans V2!
Overall CyLoans V2 will contain the same features as V1. The main difference is that V2 will support flash mentoring i.e. users can mentor using CyBlocs loaned out on CyLoansV2 without having to recall / withdraw them back into their wallets.
To migrate from V1 to V2:
1. Head to CyLoans tab on https://app.cyball.com
2. Put CyBlocs that you would like to migrate from V1 to V2 into “Recalling” status by delisting in “Listed”, or by canceling within “Leased” tab
3. Head to “Recalling” tab, select all CyBlocs on V1 that you would like to migrate to V2 and click “Migrate”.
Important:
- There are 2 transactions that need to be confirmed at this step.
- You must have enough BNB for gas fees. Migrating multiple CyBlocs require a lot of BNB to cover gas.
(3 if it is the first time you migrate as it will require a one-time only transaction to approve CyLoans V2 contract).
- The first transaction is a withdrawal from V1.
- The second transaction is a deposit into V2.
- If you only confirm the first transaction, the CyBlocs will be withdrawn from V1 (into your wallet) without getting deposited back into V2 i.e. the first transaction is just like a normal “Finalize Recall”.
That’s it! Repeat the process until you have migrated all of your CyBlocs from CyLoans V1 to CyLoans V2.
Note:
- CyBlocs that were in “Leased” tab prior to the migration will be going back to “Leased” tab post-migration.
- CyBlocs that were in “Listed” tab prior to the migration will be listed back to “Listed” tab post-migration.
- If the steps above are followed correctly, CyBlocs’ levels should not reset and the borrowers should experience no gameplay interruption at all. It is however still recommended that users should not play during the migration process.
- Please avoid using Wallet Connect during the CyLoans V1 -> V2 migration process if possible, as Wallet Connect appears to only prompt one (instead of two) required transactions for the migration process.
- If you must use Wallet Connect, ensure to:
- 1. Click “Migrate”, confirm the first transaction
- 2.1. If a second transaction gets prompted, also confirm it -> finish
- 2.2 If a second transaction does NOT get prompted, head to “Wallet” tab and list the CyBlocs you are trying to migrate up onto CyLoans V2 immediately. This re-listing step needs to be done within 5 minutes of the first transaction in order for them to be changed back to “Leased”. If the re-listing is done after 30 minutes have passed since the first transaction, then those CyBlocs will go onto “Listed” like normal. - TL;DR: If you only confirm 1 transaction out of the 2 required for migration, head to “wallet” tab and relist the relevant CyBlocs within 30 minutes.
Flash Mentoring
That’s right, Flash Mentoring will also go live together with CyLoans V2!
Once users have migrated CyBlocs over to V2, they can start mentoring CyBlocs that are being lent out immediately without having to recall/withdraw them back into their wallets.
The mentoring process is exactly the same as it was, with the addition of a new tab called “Leased” where all CyBlocs within CyLoans that can be used to mentor are shown. This includes CyBlocs that are in “Listed”, “Recalling” and “Leased” on CyLoans V2 altogether.
Note: Users will need to first approve their CyBlocs and CBT/BUSD spending for the new Flash Mentor before they can use flash mentoring. These approval transactions are one-time only and will be required the first time you mentor using CyBlocs that are on CyLoans V2.
Guild Leaderboard (Season 1)
We have put together a leaderboard for our Season 1 Guild League, which will be available at https://app.cyball.com/#/leaderboard?tabLeaderboard=guilds from 1 PM UTC today onwards.
As mentioned in the previous article, Season 1 Guild League started from April 11 onwards and is a simplified league in which guilds are ranked based on the performance of their loaned CyBlocs’ Win %. The leaderboard will also display the total holdings of CyBlocs per guild with detailed breakdown of CyBlocs based on their Class.
