CyberStart Assess in Numbers!

Thousands of you took part in the first stage of Cyber Discovery — CyberStart Assess! Now the tool has officially closed we can share some of the incredible results, facts and figures you contributed to!

23,663 students had a go at CyberStart Assess! Together, we would fill 36 Boeing 747 planes (each carrying 660 people). In fact, 97 of you would fill plane number 37. Shotgun a first class seat!

Collectively, you spent 33,928 hours playing CyberStart Assess! You would have to watch all 8 Harry Potter films together, 1,696 times to match the number of hours you spent cracking through the challenges in CyberStart Assess. That is a lot of times to watch the heartbreaking Dobby scene!

Together you made 785,331 attempts to solve the challenges in CyberStart Assess. If each attempt was a person, we could fill Wembley stadium 8 times!

1,888 teachers, parents and volunteers signed up as mentors during the first stage of the programme. Did you know, more mentors registered for Cyber Discovery than all the goals scored in the premier league last season! Go Team CD!

2,504 CyberStart Assess players live in London. There are 32 capsules on the London Eye, each holding a maximum of 25 people at a time. This means that all of our players living in London could fill the London Eye 3 times! 104 players would also have to wait in line for rotation number 4.

The largest club currently taking part in Cyber Discovery has 107 players! If we stacked everyone from the largest group together, on average, they would be the same height as the space needle in Seattle! We wouldn’t want to be at the bottom of that tower!

Good luck in making it to the next stage of the programme! CyberStart Game launches on the 4th of February 2018. We’ll be releasing the site, updating your Cyber Discovery timeline and sending out invites during the following 48 hours after launch, so don’t panic if your timeline update or email doesn’t arrive immediately.
