We are pleased to introduce the latest incubated project in the Samurai stable of projects, The Piece! The Piece is an NFT fragmenting protocol built on the Fantom Opera blockchain that is aiming to launch later in Q1/Q2 this year. What is The Piece?
The Piece is an NFT fragmentation platform that allows its users the opportunity to purchase pieces of an NFT without committing outrageous sums of money.
How it works is simple. NFTs are broken down into fragments that can be bought and sold on the market using $PIECE tokens. An NFT holder may wish to gain liquidity or earn passive income on their valuable NFTs through fragmentation. Each time a fragment is bought/sold on the marketplace, they earn a percentage of each transaction fee. The Piece platform will also buy NFTs from top collections and fragment them to sell to their user base. The price of these fragments is 100% backed by the price of the original NFT.
In addition to paying for transactions on the NFT marketplace, $PIECE will have numerous other utilities. Staking $PIECE on the platform gives users voting power on which NFT lines the platform will buy and later sell. Stakers will also enjoy reduced platform fees when buying and selling fragments. Stakers will also have the right to whitelist and purchase NFT fragments before the general public. That is not to mention a healthy APY that can be enjoyed from staking the token!
