The VidMill is a Video Production Treadmill for Virtual Production and Volumetric Capture
We are pleased to introduce the Cyberith VidMill, an infinitely rotatable treadmill system designed specifically for On-Set Virtual Production and Volumetric Capture.
While this system is not a VR Treadmill like the Virtualizer, it allows for unlimited movement in any direction in front of LED walls used for Virtual Production or within Volumetric Capture rigs.
The direct integration with Unreal Engine perfectly synchronizes the motion of the treadmill with the motion shown on the screens of a Virtual Production Studio.

The first VidMill was installed at a customer site in London, England during Q2 2023. Since then, it is used successfully within one of the world’s most advanced Volumetric Capture rigs, with hundreds of lights and nearly a hundred cameras.
Please note, that the VidMill is not a VR Treadmill like the Virtualizer and can’t be used in combination with VR headsets or alternative VR displaying solutions.
