How To Use The Virtualizer ELITE 2
& Major Updates
At Cyberith, we are moving forwards in continuously improving our products for our customers, leaving the Coronavirus behind!
Today, we’d like to share our new Virtualizer ELITE 2 User Instruction video with you, in order to give you a concrete idea in how to use our second generation product.
The video includes all the updates we added to the product since it’s launch in 2019 and thus represents our current 2020 model.
Major Updates since launch of the Virtualizer ELITE 2
Firmware — Smart Platform Movement, Precise Tracking & More
Since 2019 we’ve rolled out new Firmware versions adding major functionalities to the motion platform, such as the backwards and the running function. With the same updates, we have significantly improved motion tracking of the user’s feet, body orientation and hip height.
Firmware Updates are available to all Virtualizer customers through the Cyberith Developer Center and the Cyberith Arcade Center.
SDK — Motion Smoothing, Haptics & More
The new Motion Smoothing algorithm implemented into our SDK makes movement in VR a lot more comfortable for sensitive users. The individual adjustability allows for full optimization for everyone!
Updated Plugins for Unity and Unreal Engine allow for a more convenient implementation of the Virtualizer’s Haptic Feedback functionality into your VR applications, adding a new layer of immersion.
The new SDK is available through the Cyberith Developer Center. All games on the Cyberith Arcade Center have been updated to add Motion Smoothing.
New Virtualizer Harness System (2020)
The new Virtualizer Harness System launched earlier this year provides a new level of comfort and dramatically improves the user experience.
We’ve delivered many of the new harness systems within the last few months and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. An allegedly small piece like a harness can make a huge difference with regards to the user experience.

The New Virtualizer Harness System is compatible with all Virtualizer products, which can be upgraded with a new harness system easily.

Compatibility — SteamVR Integration
Since October 2019, all Virtualizer products are integrated into SteamVR via our custom SteamVR Driver!
The new SteamVR Integration allows for compatibility with a wide variety of VR applications, including all games and applications using SteamVR and allowing for free locomotion. “Free locomotion” is the name for all applications, that you can smoothly walk through by touching the Trackpad or the Thumbstick of your VR Controllers.
The SteamVR Driver for compatibility with SteamVR is available through the Cyberith Developer Center and the Cyberith Arcade Center.
Safety Locking Function — Freedom of Movement
We have recently updated the Safety Locking Function of the Virtualizer ELITE 2 for a more convenient use of regular locking & unlocking.
The new system provides easier access to full freedom of movement. Have a look to see walking, running, kneeling, backwards walking & crouching in the Virtualizer ELITE 2:
Virtual Trainer Software — Automatizing the Learning Process
Furthermore, we have released the Virtual Trainer Software, that teaches a user in how to use VR and the Virtualizer within seconds.
Although the Virtual Trainer Software supports all models of the Virtualizer, we found it to be most useful for our first generation products, as using the Virtualizer ELITE 2 is very intuitive and thus not requiring any specific training process.
Cyberith’s Virtual Trainer Software is available to all Virtualizer users through both our Developer Center and Arcade Center.
