It’s spooky season now, Kongz!

The weather is colder (at least where I live), pumpkins are around every corner, and the undead CyberKongz VX are out in full force.

More importantly, it’s been 1 full month since CyberKongz Weekly launched so we’re going to do something a little different for this week’s newsletter.

In addition to covering the highlights from the week, like I usually do, I’m also going to include monthly data for our “CyberKongz by the Numbers” section and a “10 Best Trades of Last Month” in the WSK section.

So much happens in this space in a couple of hours and days, not to mention an entire month, so I think it’s always good to go back and highlight all the incredible work that happens in our CyberKongz Community.

Of course, this newsletter is written for all of you Kongz, so if you have any topics you want to be added or any suggestions, just let me know!

CyberKongz Community Strong

CyberKongz OOH Community Governance Launches

Note on $BANANA Yield: It’s worth bringing up again as I know this is a hot topic, but it’s clearly stated in the official CyberKongz OOH article that Baby Kongz and VX Kongz will not yield $BANANA, sorry.

We would not be where we are today without the strong Kongmunity that has been built since our launch in March of this year.

To continue to build on this tradition of Kongmunity first, our big brain Council of Kongz has introduced CyberKongz OOH, which is the first iteration of decentralized community governance using a snapshot strategy.

In total, in this iteration, there are 45,000 votes with each OOH representing one vote. The total number of OOH you have will depend on the number of CyberKongz NFTs and $BANANAs you have in your wallet. For a more detailed explanation of how OOH is calculated make sure to read the official CyberKongz OOH article.

Moving at the speed of Kongz that we do, our first proposal for a cheaper CyberKongz VX name change has already successfully gone through the snapshot voting process.

With a unanimous OOH vote, we have decided as a community to lower the required amount of $BANANA for a CyberKongz VX name change to 2 $BANANA from the original 10 $BANANA.

Kongrats to everyone for a successful first vote and let’s see what names you all come up with for your CyberKongz VX!

🚨 Another Kong Innovation: VOX File Format Added for CyberKongz VX

Our mad Kong scientists have continued their tireless effort to build as much technological innovation as possible for our community and have just added the VOX file format to the downloaded assets for our CyberKongz VX!

It only takes a few simple steps to download the VOX files for your CyberKongz VX so let’s use my cute hard hat CyberKongz VX as an example:

• Head over to our website https://www.cyberkongz.com/ and connect your wallet.

• Click on the “My Kongz” tab.

• Select the CyberKongz VX that you want the VOX files for. If you have multiple CyberKongz VX, you will see them all here.

• Hit the “Download asset” button and you’ll now see the VOX files available to download.

What’s cool about our Kong scientists creating the VOX file is that it gives more control to those of you who are more experienced with 3D animation and makes it easier to animate your CyberKongz VX for small brains like me.

Just take a look at the animations I was able to create using MagicaVoxel and Mixamo after following the instructions in this article written by our mad Kong scientists themselves.

Not bad for my very first attempt at animation I must say 🍌

DJ Blondish in Vegas!

All of you know how much our Kongz love to party, but can any of you party as hard as our very own Genesis Kongz DJ @blond_ish??

On September 30, 2021 @blond_ish had an epic show in Las Vegas and was able to use her Genesis Kong for the first time as visuals for the show!

If you’re not following @blond_ish already, what are you waiting for?

Not only is she a talented DJ, but she’s an even better human.

In 2018, she launched her non-profit Bye Bye Plastic which is dedicated to removing single-use plastics from the music industry by 2025! So far they’ve been featured by media from around the world and have consulted big players in the industry such as the International Music Summit (IMS).

Then during the pandemic, she also launched ABRACADABRA TV, which is a hugely successful Twitch channel all about music, magic, self-love, and activism. They even had ABRACADABRA Fest in September 2020 which saw headliners like John Legend, Major Lazer, and Snoop Dogg!

Twitter Spaces with Nate: Deep Dive Into Project Evaluation

Thanks again to our OG Scuba Kong @Nate_Rivers for holding another super insightful Twitter Spaces on October 1, 2021.

In this Twitter Spaces, we got to jump into the mind of Nate and @eddyiskongz to see how they evaluate projects and what they look for before they jump in.

If you don’t know who Nate and Eddy are, make sure to give them a follow as they are two of the biggest brained Kongz in our jungle.

Eddy is known as “Eddy the Janitor” and famously swept the floor of Genesis Kongz when they were ~0.7 ETH during the Great Kong Winter.

As for Nate, just take a look at how his investments have done these last few months and that’s all you need to know.

Here are some of the highlights from this Twitter Spaces:

• What to Look For: Some things to look at when evaluating a new project include steady sales volume, how active the community is, how close the team is to deliver on the roadmap, evaluation compared to similar projects.
• Position Yourself Correctly: If you’re overexposed and the market becomes volatile, you may make some poor decisions based on emotions. However, if you’re underexposed, you might not be able to take advantage of the opportunity.
• Plan Ahead: Don’t just look at your portfolio of NFTs in a bubble. Make sure to consider the market as a whole and make a game plan in advance. This way, you can try to take emotions out of the decision-making process as the market is unpredictable.

CyberKongz by the Numbers: Kongz Moon Mission

First of all can you Genesis Kongz slow down a bit?

I had this entire section written and ready to go and then you all decide to break a 200 ETH floor! Of course, I had to include this epic news!

When our Genesis Kongz floor flipped the CryptoPunks floor for the first time a couple of weeks ago, we thought that was a big deal, and of course, it was.

BUT, little did we know that was only a small tiny little preview of things to come this week. Even though we all expected those outside the jungle to finally realize how undervalued our Kongmunity was, I’m not sure if we all expected it to come so quickly.

The damn literally broke the first week in October and all things Kongz, Genesis Kongz, Baby Kongz, CyberKongz VX, and our tasty $BANANA were sent straight on a moon mission to all-time highs.

One of the highlights in all the commotion had to be the epic floor sweep of our CyberKongz VX by @_jaechung and their partner @sergitosergito. Using @genie_xyz for what turned out to be the largest floor sweep to date on Genie, they picked up 111 CyberKongz VX as we all watched in amazement 🤯

I must agree, that is one very nice-looking wallet for sure @sergitosergito!

ICYMI, here are some of the other CyberKongz numbers highlights from this crazy week too:

• Genesis Kongz #833 was adopted for a record-breaking 200 ETH.
• Baby Kongz explode past the 13 ETH floor price.
• CyberKongz VX blast past the 2 ETH barrier as people begin to realize that the VX Kongz are our most scientifically advanced species yet.
• Our delicious $BANANA shocked us all by hitting an ATH of $102.98 in the morning of October 5, breaking the $100 mark for the first time. 🍌

WSK 10 Best Trades of September + 1 Extra 🍌

Loot, bears, mice, groupies, and a thing called Octohedz! What a month of September we had as brothers and sisters in WSK. !ooh

The month started off with a bang as Loot (for Adventurers) mesmerized the entire space by introducing a free to mint text-based NFT that allowed anyone to build off of it.

Builders rushed in, flippers rejoiced, and people started to question their sanity on why they didn’t just mint the damn NFT in the first place since it was free. 🤦

With its success, we then saw an onslaught of garbage Loot derivatives, that yes, in the short term were traded profitably, but in the end, were forgotten once our attention moved on to the next shiny object.

And the next shiny thing we saw was exactly what we needed to snap us out of our Loot-induced stupor. In just a couple weeks’ time span we got the CrypToadz with their vibez, some Anonymice which strangely produced $CHEETH, and a Peaceful psychedelic bunch of Groupies.

As this edition of the newsletter marks the end of the first full month of CyberKongz Weekly, it’s time to start a new monthly tradition.

Over time, I think we will continue to attract the smartest people in the community and I think it’s safe to assume that we’ve only just started.
