CMT Wallet 2.2: Added Functions That Enhance Your Wallet Experience
On the heels of our first CMT Wallet update*, we’re excited to tell you about version 2.2, namely five (5) new functions that promise to enhance your overall CMT Wallet experience: a private key import; a mnemonics backup; one-click, cross-platform sharing; photo album QR code scan; and, last but not least, a “token profile” for CRC20 tokens.
*Note: Those who missed the initial window to migrate CyberMiles Tokens to a CMT Wallet, now is your chance. Follow our guidelines carefully and do not share your private information with anyone.
CMT Wallet 2.2
1. Private Key Import Function
As previously announced, you now can import your ERC20 CMT easily into a CMT Wallet. (P.S. Don’t forget to save your private information in advance!)
First, you’ll need to download the CMT Wallet to your device. (If you haven’t, download it here.) Once downloaded, select “Import Wallet” at the bottom of your screen.
There are three (3) ways to import your ERC20 CMT: by mnemonic words, private key, or keystore. Choose one of these methods**.
**Note: During your import, be advised that you must remember your mnemonic words, private key, or keystore and password, and your imported CMT wallet’s password.
- Mnemonic words
To import using your saved mnemonic words, simply select the source of the words, then create a new password, and import your wallet.
- Private key
Enter the private key of your ERC20 Wallet, create a new password, and import your wallet.
- Keystore
Enter your original Keystore and password, and you can import your wallet easily.
2. Mnemonic Words Backup Function
When creating your CMT Wallet, you can choose to back up your mnemonic words later. However, as mnemonic words are used not only to import your wallet, but also to restore lost access to the wallet under any circumstance, it’s essential to have the backup function.
3. One-Click, Cross-Platform Sharing — support generating CMT
Want quicker access to decentralized applications? Then we have you covered. Consider this: ‘CryptoWoody’ gets a “Copy CMT Code and open CMT Wallet App to quick access dApp!” message (with a CMT Tracking website link), which he can share with others on his phone.
With the message copied, open the CMT Wallet app to see a notification. Once you confirm, you’ll be directed to the CMT Tracking website.
4. QR Code Scan — support to identify mobile phone album photos
If you have a QR code image saved to your phone (a CMT Wallet dApp address QR code, for instance), this new function allows you to scan from the album and send CMT directly or have quicker access to other CMT wallet dApps.
5. “Token Profile” — define your CRC20 token
If you want to issue and send a token (a Happy Thanksgiving or HTG token, for example), CMT Wallet 2.2 now lets you do it simply and easily. After issuing the token, click “Update Profile” in order to make a transaction and create your own HTG token profile***!
***Note: Only the person who issued the token is authorized thereafter to edit the token profile.
On anyone’s CMT Wallet token profile, you can find his or her:
