1. CyberMiles at the 2018 Global Traffic Conference

Executives with Alibaba, Facebook, Google, Opera, and other tech leaders were in Shenzhen, China Nov. 1-2 for the 2018 Global Traffic Conference, hosted by Chinese media company, Baijingchuhai.

On hand was Dr. Lucas Lu, CyberMiles’ founder and CEO, who spoke about how blockchain can solve the payment issues of cross-border, international e-commerce. His talk was designed to help e-commerce professionals in attendance better understand overseas markets and expand their technology solutions abroad.

“I encountered many challenges in 2013,” Dr. Lu said, recalling his experience developing the 5miles mobile marketplace. “We sold using the currencies of 16 different countries at that time, and payment was a huge constraint on the development of cross-border e-commerce.”

Dr. Lu added, “The blockchain e-commerce uses the characteristics of the blockchain to enhance and innovate the new model of e-commerce. As a seller in today’s cross-border e-commerce sector, you will encounter a problem with deduction points. With digital currency, these rates will be gone and the cost will be greatly reduced.”

For Chinese speakers, a full recap of Dr. Lu’s talk can be read here.

2. Noomi Wallet Now Supports CMT

Noomi Wallet, part of CyberMiles’ growing ecosystem, has unlocked recently three new ways for you to invest your CMT. Download the free Noomi app, and, under the invest tab, check out the CMT investment options that allow Noomi to grow your CMT investment for you.

Note: Noomi also has a special offer for all users who registered an account before Nov. 1. For a limited time, Noomi is offering a guaranteed 15% APR on a 30-day CMT investment — higher than any guaranteed return rate that’ll be offered in the future and only reserved for users who have supported Noomi from the start. For CMT holders, this offer also replaces the previously-announced staking option in order to simplify the process and offer Noomi’s early adopters the best growth options.

Click here to learn more about the early bird special, or go to noomiwallet.com to check out the rest of Noomi’s new investment options.

P.S. Did you know that you can withdraw or deposit CMT on blocktonic.io? Well, now you can and now you do!

3. CyberMiles’ Remix Now Available

Our new Remix tool is a basic but important step towards building better smart contracts.

This tool will help:

  • Develop smart contracts with Lity that still are compatible with Ethereum’s Solidity.
  • Rapidly deploy and then test smart contracts in your browser.
  • Compile, develop and execute contracts simply and easily.

To learn more about how to use Remix visit remix.cybermiles.io.

4. CMT Wallet Update

If you haven’t already, very soon you’ll be able to import your ERC20 CMT into the latest version of our CMT Wallet (v2.2). Stay tuned for new guidelines and, in the meantime, explore the potential of CyberMiles “DApps” within the CMT Wallet by visiting cybermiles.io/cmt-wallet.

5. CyberMiles at DevCon4

Dr. Michael Yuan, CyberMiles’ Chief Scientist, was live this month at perhaps the biggest conference for blockchain developers in Prague.

The fourth annual event laid out the development plan and roadmap of Ethereum 2.0 and beyond. As a conference focused purely on technology, participants consist largely of programmers and libertarians with a deep faith in the technology.

Read Michael’s recap, along with an inside look at what’s to come with Ethereum 2.0 in Devcon4: A Report from the Front Line.
