Welcome to the CyberMiles Foundation’s monthly newsletter #10

Oct. 1, 2018

Hello, CyberMilers! Since our last update, your CyberMiles team began shipping out CMT Cubes, demonstrated the high performance of CyberMiles’ virtual machine (vs. Ethereum’s), and initiated CyberMiles Token migration process! Read on for more updates, along with other blockchain and cryptocurrency news.

Announcements

The Fast and Furious CVM

One of the most powerful virtual machines in existence is the CyberMiles Virtual Machine (CVM). As a global leader in blockchain VM technologies, CyberMiles has achieved a performance gain up to 20,000 times greater than Ethereum. According to CyberMiles’ own Chief Scientist:

“The ‘apples-to-apples’ performance tests demonstrate that the CVM can be 10 to 200 times faster in terms of basic arithmetic operations. When coupled with a throughput gain of 100 times the transactions per second, the CyberMiles platform is up to 20,000 faster than Ethereum.”

The CVM was created with the aim to drastically improve the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), along with improvements to the software stack to make it both developer- and enterprise-friendly.

This solution is the crown jewel of the CyberMiles blockchain and is a protocol innovation that has access to a stack of middleware technologies. These technologies are created specifically for business use cases and will be accessible to the entire distributed VM.

5miles’ New Tokenized Rewards Program

5miles, a partner of CyberMiles and the leading peer-to-peer marketplace in the U.S., has announced the development of 5miles Rewards, a step toward getting the average person to use digital currency. This innovative program will offer 5miles users unique loyalty and referral benefits as well as promotions from sellers to buyers within the 5miles marketplace.

According to Dr. Lucas Lu, the founder of 5miles and a founding member of CyberMiles:

“E-commerce is a $1+ trillion global industry. Given growing adoption of it in emerging markets, the use of stablecoins in the e-commerce space seems increasingly viable. 5miles is determined to lead this exciting adoption of stablecoin in a brand new segment.”

5miles also is spearheading the commercialization of CyberMiles’ MainNet technology, the first of a growing number of soon-to-be decentralized applications that will migrate to the CyberMiles blockchain. With this move, 5miles is poised for global market expansion and breakout growth in 2019.

Get Ready to Migrate Your CMTs!

Binance is already on board. So are Cobinhood, Dragonex, Huobi, LBank, OKEX, and Tokenomy. The question is, Are you?

Our MainNet will launch officially on Oct. 15, 2018. At the same time, ERC20 CMTs will migrate from the Ethereum blockchain to the CyberMiles blockchain’s MainNet and become native CMTs on a one-to-one basis.

All ERC20 CMTs will be permanently frozen and become obsolete from 23:59 (UTC+00) on Oct. 9, 2018. The CyberMiles Foundation, along with our Genesis Validators, will proceed to snapshot the ERC20 CMT distribution, and launch the MainNet software for migration. When the MainNet goes live, the blockchain will distribute native CMTs according to the ERC20 snapshot. We aim to complete the migration by Oct. 15.

Key Dates
Migration preparation period: Now until Oct. 9 at 23:59 (UTC+00). Then ERC20 CMT tokens will be frozen permanently and become obsolete.

CyberMiles’ MainNet launch: Oct. 15, 2018

Native CMT distribution: Oct. 15, 2018

Decentralizing — and democratizing — e-commerce with Ethereum VM competitor

Due to the centralized nature of e-commerce today, power has been consolidated in specific companies and also has also put consumer privacy and information security in a vulnerable position. This contributes to a sense of unease over the potential compromise of such companies. Now one organization seeks to decentralize the way that e-commerce functions today. AMBCrypto has it all for you.

Chinese basketball player poses for the Dallas Mavericks, wearing NBA jersey featuring 5miles

Ding Yanyuhang, a professional basketball player from Karamay, China, posed last month for the Dallas Mavericks during the team’s media day. China Daily covered Ding, who was named the CBA’s regular season Most Valuable Player in 2017 and 2018. See more photos of Ding online!

In other Mavs news: the team played against the Beijing Ducks on Sept. 29 in Dallas and now is traveling to China for two games vs. the Philadelphia 76ers. The Mavs, accompanied by reps from CyberMiles and 5miles, a team sponsor, will play in Shanghai and Shenzhen on Oct. 5 and 8, respectively.

Is blockchain 3.0 the solution we’ve been waiting for?

While Bitcoin is the first generation blockchain and Ethereum the second (with its smart contracts), what the third generation should be doing — or what the technology should be — remains unclear. One thing is clear though, CyberMiles is a leading force shaping blockchain 3.0. TechTalks explains why.

Customized smart contracts: the way of the future for e-commerce

Because the CyberMiles blockchain is compatible with Ethereum, both distributed applications and smart contracts can transfer to our blockchain without changing any code. The CyberMiles team, for this and other reasons, believe that blockchain is moving away from just another IT solution to a true ecosystem builder.
