We are excited to announce the applications for the third summer of Cybersecurity Factory are now open! The program dates are 6/12/17–8/18/17.

For the past two summers, we have partnered with Highland Capital Partners to empower early stage startups to tackle the complex security problems facing many enterprises. Our 10-week program will provide the following:

  • Access to our diverse group of dedicated cybersecurity mentors, including executives and leaders from Carbon Black, Akamai, Rapid7, Imprivata, Qualys, Cybereason, and Veracode
  • Venture advice from a Highland Capital partner
  • Office space in Cambridge, MA in the Highland Capital office
  • $35,000 investment as a generous convertible note

During the summer, each team will work closely with our mentors and potential customers to produce and improve a marketable prototype. To have a better sense of Cybersecurity Factory summer experience, here are stories from our program alumni: Pixm, Flare, and Stealthmine (formerly Aikicrypt).

This year, in addition to having product mentors, we have added mentors with cybersecurity business consulting experience, such as Steve Surdu and Ron Hale, to help teams think more deeply about their business strategy.

Finally, we would like to thank our generous sponsors: our legal partner, Latham & Watkins, and banking partner Comerica. These two partners bring years of cybersecurity startup experience that will help our companies navigate any legal and financial challenges.

We also would like to thank our corporate sponsors: Imprivata, Carbon Black, Malwarebytes, and Rapid7.

Applications are now open! The early deadline is 3/6/17 at 11:59 pm EST, and we will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis until 3/20/17. For more information and updates, please visit our site and follow us on Twitter.
