1000 contributions on CybrHome!
Today we’re celebrating a small yet important milestone of 1000 crowd-sourcing contributions (submissions) on CybrHome.
The Crowd-sourcing Story
Soon after we had launched our beta in 2015, we realized its easy to collect and curate a few sites but it is hard to scale content and it is even harder to keep a listed site’s details updated.
To solve this problem in our product, amidst other ideas, we decided to introduce Crowd-sourcing at CybrHome where our users can add, edit and contribute to content (websites, topics and categories). People can also report a website/topic/category or delete them.

Deeply integrated crowd-sourcing features were integrated to our desktop web app in Early 2016 and later on some of these Crowd-sourcing features were rolled to our other products like Mobile Web, Android App and Chrome Extension.
All submissions and edits go through a review process where our content team reviews contributions from our users. Only the constructive changes are accepted while the others are discarded. Contributors are notified after the review process via Emails and Notifications. Contributors can also check status of their request on their CybrHome dashboard.
Our First Crowd-sourcing Milestone
1000 contributions have been made to CybrHome since we’ve rolled out crowd-sourcing. Any add/edit (website/topic/category) on CybrHome is counted as a contribution. Out of these 1000 contributions, 922 were accepted and 78 were rejected. 958 were website contributions (adds/edits) whereas the remaining ones were about topics and categories. We’re thankful to all our contributors who’ve made this milestone possible.

Its simple. You can be a CybrHome contributor by making use of submit and edit features on the platform.
Just create your CybrHome account and start submitting websites that you know but are not listed on CybrHome. As a contributor you can also edit details of already listed sites. You can also add or edit topics and categories.

One-Click submission using Our Chrome Extension
You can also install our chrome extension for one-click submissions of websites. Our extension lets you use CybrHome and its features without visiting CybrHome. It also tells you similar websites for any site opened in your Chrome’s tab.
