Why is a smarter mousetrap needed? Because the mice are getting smarter. Some of us remember the Don Bluth animated film, “The Secret of Nimh. Lab rats were injected with super serums and they got smarter. As in ‘human level smart’. Apply this same scenario on steroids to the emerging, advanced and persistent threats.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) usage in our era is ever increasing. Its presence is ubiquitous with the emergence of new cyber risks. Simply stated, hackers are capable to infect organizations’ systems using smart fuzzy logic, machine learning and AI-powered malware.

This malicious code remains undetected and propagates inside of connected systems, constantly gathering information about users’ behaviors and organizations’ systems.

The AI malware is strong enough in some visible instances to bypass CAPTCHA systems. It also greatly improves the accuracy of phishing and similar attacks.

Summarized, by developing highly evasive malware, a countermeasure of equal strength needs to be deployed. Enter CYBR: Advanced malware detection solutions that identify polymorphic and pleomorphic malicious codes in near real time. Signature less based, solutions from CYBR fall into the category of Specialized Threat Assessment and Protection (STAP). STAP is the most advanced technology classification (Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPS)) in the Threat Pyramid of Pain.
