Hi guys! Welcome to another day with CyClean! Many people might wonder why I joined the CyClean team. Frankly speaking, I joined the CyClean team not because of money but because of its vision. The CyClean project doesn’t only care about direct health but also cares about environmental health. Health has been a big issue to me because I suffered from many illnesses, and CyClean has showed me that encouraging people to take part in healthy activities is possible. This is why I joined the CyClean team. CyClean is not just a cryptocurrency — it is a movement.

Today, I am going to talk about how wonderful it is to ride a bike, whether it is indoors or outdoors. Yeah, many of you may think that this is not related to blockchain and cryptocurrencies. However, this is related to the CyClean project. So! Let’s see why riding a bicycle is such a beneficial activity.

1. Mental Health

According to YMCA’s research, people who ride bicycles score 32 percent higher on a well-being test than those who do not ride them. Why is that? There is a scientific answer. It is all about hormones, guys. When you ride a bike, your body releases hormones like adrenalin and endorphins, and many of you know that these chemicals make you feel good.

2. Weight Loss

This is a very obvious benefit of riding a bike. But let me tell you anyway. If you consistently ride a bike, you will lose any unnecessary fat that you have. If you ride a bike for an hour, you burn between 400 and 1000 calories.

3. Lung health

The Healthy Air Campaign shows that bike riders actually experience 5 times less pollution than normal drivers do. This is 2 times lower than people who walk or ride buses.

4. Reduced Risk of Cancer

The University of Glasgow recently reported that cycling activities actually cut people’s risk of getting cancer. Dr. Jason Gill of the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences says, “Cycling all or part of the way to work was associated with substantially lower risk of adverse health outcomes.”

5. Saving Time

As you guys may probably know about me, I like money. But there is something more valuable than money: time. And cycling actually saves you time! When you try to go to work in the morning, car traffic always bugs you. It often takes more time than expected. What if you use a bike instead of a car? You may not suffer from such heavy traffic.

6. Better Sleep

According to the University of Georgia, people who ride bikes are less likely to experience sleep problems. Dr Rodney Dishman says, “The steepest decline in cardiorespiratory fitness happens between ages 40 and 60. This is also when problems of sleep duration and quality are elevated.” Riding a bike helps people between the ages 40 and 60 to reduce this sleep problem.

In this post, we talked about the benefits that riding a bike might give you in terms of health. Do you still feel that riding a bike is such a useless thing? Probably not!
