The Best Security Education Tool in Web3
One morning in April 2022, my life changed.
Over a warm latte, I heard an exciting story from a friend. He spoke of someone earning a jaw-dropping $2,000 an hour.
I needed a new challenge, and this was my ticket out of boredom.
I spent hours reviewing Christoph Michel’s blog and Code4rena’s documentation that day.

The Birth
Soon after, I started learning Solidity. With Patrick’s helpful YouTube videos as my guide, I took my first steps as a smart contract auditor. It wasn’t an easy road. As a beginner, finding good learning materials and guides was tricky. I participated in many contests, and although I understood the code, finding bugs was a real struggle.
This struggle led to a great discovery. Reading past reports from contests was a quick and effective way to improve. But there was a problem — I couldn’t search for these past reports. That’s when I had an idea for a new tool — Solodit.
In October 2022, I set out to create Solodit, a tool to search for past reports from Code4rena and Sherlock. Thanks to my development experience, I built a basic version of Solodit in just 2–3 weeks.
Using Solodit was a game changer. Every day, I spent hours studying old reports and building up my skills. The hard work paid off. I started performing better in contests, and within a few months, I was #1 on the 90-day leaderboard (still holding the top spot in 2023!).
Realizing that Solodit could help many others like me, I decided to make it public earlier this year. The response was amazing. Solodit quickly became a platform used by thousands of auditors.
Solodit Today
Today, Solodit is more than just a tool. We aim to be the go-to place for everyone involved in web3 security. We want to offer reports, news, learning materials, and tools for web3 security auditors — all in one place.
My journey from that April morning in 2022 to leading Solodit has been unique and rewarding. But this is just the beginning.
