MTA’s On Time Performance for May and June Shows Positive Trends
The route updates for the summer update are already showing significant improvements in on time performance (OTP) metrics.
After overall performance metrics dipped below 50% for the month of May, numbers improved slightly in June to 50.7%. After the summer schedule adjustment went live on June 23, on time performance has increased by nearly 3.5% overall, including increases on every Citylink route. The increases range from .78% on Citylink Orange to a whopping 10.46% on Citylink Blue.
To hear more about the ways the MTA uses service adjustments to improve on time performance, see Tom Hewitt, MTA’s Director of Service Development on July 9. Young Professionals in Transportation will be hosting a workshop with Hewitt. Tickets are still available.
