Before we get started…

We’d like to congratulate everyone who was behind the recent Stargate launch that occurred in February via Cosmos Hub. Being one of the most anticipated and potentially significant events to occur in this industry’s history to date came with no lack of excitement. We’re looking forward to what the future brings now as we turn the next corner of innovation within the greater Cosmos community.

To keep things less repetitive in this monthly update, instead of me dragging out who’s updated/going to update soon within the ecosystem, I’d like for you to check out dogemos’ unofficial page Wen Mainnet? Pretty straightforward and will definitely help you stay up to date vs surfing through a thousand channels/pages.

IRISnet

As the first project to expand its ambitions within the Cosmos ecosystem many people forget that their mainnet launch actually occurred a month before Cosmos’, and with that note, we can celebrate another successful year down as IRISnet turned two last month. As a long-time and early supporter, we couldn't be prouder of the product, vision, and accomplishments behind the name. We’re excited for the future of IRISnet and look forward to many more annual celebrations!

Sifchain

We got a few new faces this month and Sifchain is one of the more exciting not just out of the bunch, but also within the entire DeFi space. Last month not only did they successfully complete their public token sale but also celebrated their BetaNet launch. In their public sale, they successfully raised $26 million USDT and sold 64.2 M eRowan Tokens which is definitely something worth celebrating. With their BetaNet launch came their successful DEX launch aswell. If you’d like to learn more about how to interact with their DEX and see everything new with Sifchain peep their recent bi-weekly update here!

Sentinel

The team shared an announcement stating that multi-wallet management is being added to $SENT’s custom Cosmos-based wallet. Pretty dope addition if you ask me. Along with that, the Apple app store approved the Sentinel dVPN Lite application for users to download and utilize which brings another window of accessibility for those interested to use.

Terra

Terra has been on a hot streak for a few months now with keeping each month exciting and packed with updates. Last month they wrapped things up by listing on OKex, and partnering with Stabilize protocol. Mark Cuban also showed some love to Mirror Protocol from Terra which was pretty cool and definitely helps for the adoption of their platform from a public narrative POV. Terra also announced their native wallet Terra station mobile which will allow you to interact with your assets in every aspect, like staking etc.

Band Protocol

By kicking off the month with a Roadmap update, Band Protocol saw a pretty cool month that was lead with oracle requests and a few partnerships with some notable faces such as Coinmarketcap and Mirror Protocol.

Starname

With a recent Roadmap update and a few AMA events, the team behind Starname was pretty busy last month. Should see some cool developments turn out from them as Spring progresses.

CertiK Foundation

Recently Binance announced its ambitions to further strengthen its efforts to working together with CertiK on BSC’s ecosystem security needs and priorities. This is a pretty cool development (s/o to your boy for being apart of it) for both growing ecosystems as CertiK takes platform security seriously on all fronts. There was also a huge listing announcement with Bitfinex, which is pretty cool if you’re a CertiK enthusiast. There was also a ton of partnerships with various DeFi platforms announced, so if you’d like to learn more check out their recent February roundup.

Althea

Althea had a recent testnet upgrade occur which is pretty cool because that’s just another signal towards us getting closer to witness the excitement behind Gravity Bridge. We’ve covered Gravity Bridge before but if you’d like to learn more check out this sick writeup here.

Akash Network

Mainnet 2 is around the corner for mid-March, and per usual they had a plethora of community-focused events and AMA’s. Outside of that, there wasn’t too much to cover but that’s not a bad thing either as Mainnet 2’s launch is definitely going to be an exciting event within itself.

Agoric

Agoric recently announced that their current testnet has been upgraded to agorictest-6, which is running post-Stargate software. Yet another project inching closer to IBC. If you’re interested in joining their testnet check out their Discord.

KAVA Labs

Kava announced they’d integrate Chainlink, post-IBC upgrade to their network which would allow any project in the Cosmos ecosystem to take advantage of Chainlink’s price feed data.

Summary

These project updates were researched from git repos and project blogs. If you have a project that’s active but not listed here, please reach out to us so I can make sure your update is included in future posts. Cypher Core is dedicated to the Cosmos ecosystem and community and is here to help as a validator, as well as to help projects solve business needs like getting your project the sunshine it needs to thrive.
