Join us for our private launch Jan 21 at 3pm UTC to Jan 24 at3pm UTC.

We are excited to announce a collaboration with Marinade Finance for the initial private launch of our P2E puzzle game, Mysteria.

The Private Launch is from 2022–01–21 03:00:00 to 2022–01–24 15:00:00 UTC. 15 $mSOL and $4000 SONAR, and 1/1 NFTs are set as the game’s prizes. The private launch is available to players from one of the these communities: Marinade, Saber, Jupiter, Friktion, or SonarWatch. These communities have sponsored the private launch and have made the prize pool possible. Go to their Discord and search for the announcement that will allow you to join the whitelist to play the game.

Now, about the collaboration… If you aren’t familiar with Mysteria or Marinade Finance, let’s start there:

Mysteria is a game where players solve puzzles to earn $SOL and NFTs. The game was created by two lifelong gamers (Sal and Flipperbw). It was an idea that originally started with, and received Honorable Mention, at the Solana Ignition Hackathon in late 2021.

Marinade Finance is a Solana DeFi project that enables users to stake their $SOL tokens with Marinade, receive $mSOL, and then use that $mSOL to participate in Solana DeFi. Users can unstake at any time instead of having to wait for Solana’s epoch schedule (i.e. “liquid staking”). By staking with Marinade, you also help further decentralize Solana because Marinade will stake your $SOL across many validators using their algorithm. This is better than staking your $SOL with a single validator (which would be one single point of failure, and deeper centralization).

Why this collaboration?

Our game’s original design called for a prize pool of $SOL. In our research, we figured that the prize pool might as well grow in various ways and support decentralization between periods of a round of our game starting and finishing. And because the game could in theory be completed at any time, we knew that we wanted to be able to pay out winners flexibly. We also knew we didn’t want to risk the balance of the prize pool decreasing much on account of market dynamics. This left us with the idea of staking our prize pool with Marinade Finance — a product that offered liquid staking and also kept the balance protected from market volatility.

After we reached out to them, we found collaborating to be a breeze and we are big supporters of their product. As a result, we put together a way to launch the game which gives Mysteria an opportunity to work with a focused player group, while also providing Marinade with a fun and new activity for their community.

All that said, let’s get down to details. Like, how is this going to work…

Launch Details

What is happening?

The “full” game that we have is called “The Old Castle” and includes 16 cyphers. In this collaboration, we have launched 3 of those 16 cyphers exclusively to Marinade and their partner communities.

Players will be competing for a total of 15 $mSOL and $4000 SONAR in prizes, and additional NFTs.

In order to participate, you will need to be a verified member of one of the these communities: Marinade, Saber, Jupiter, Friktion, or SonarWatch. These communities have sponsored the private launch and have made this prize pool possible. Go to their Discord and search for the announcement that will allow you to join the whitelist to play the game.

When is this happening?

From January 21, 15:00:00 UTC to January 24, 15:00:00 UTC
