MONTHLY UPDATE #5 — READY FOR A LIGHT SHOW
Hi there! Hope you’ve been doing alright.
We’re back with another monthly update about UNBEATABLE! Technically this should had been the 6th one — but we got really busy in February, so we skipped a month! Again!
Anyways, the team has been working a lot on our big reveal this Friday! Just like our ol’ update for MAGFEST 2020, we’re gonna tell you all about what to expect at the show (except for the actual announcements. shhhh. we ain’t gonna say shi-)
IT’S SHOWTIME!
Less than a week away!
In case you didn’t know, we’re showing up at Indie Maker Syndicate’s MAKERS PLAY event, where we’ll be debuting a brand new teaser for the game + a special announcement(s)! This is going to be big — so we hope you tune in!
This will be the start of a weekend with cool events and more as we’ll be around the event. Let’s break it down one by one!
THE PREMIERE
Look, can’t understate this enough, but if you’re waiting on news for this game, this is the show to tune in. I know Monster Hunter Rise will be out that day, but, and BUT, this is going to be big. That teaser? It’s gonna flip. The announcement(s)? They’re actually pretty cool!
I don’t want to promise the world to you, but after the show, you’ll definitely want to stay tuned to what the future of the project is! We’re really excited for you to see what we’ve been cooking up for UNBEATABLE, and also like, really anxious?!? The wait is killing me…
And no worries if you miss the stream — we’re posting our teaser, as well as sharing our other announcements on all of our social media, including our Discord, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Maybe our Tiktok too? I dunno how to use that even tho I’m like Gen Z

After our show, D-CELL GAMES will be hanging around at the Virtual Harbor world in VR Chat (starting at 5 PM EST)— most specifically, we’ll be at the IMS Showcase found at the bottom floor of the world, featuring a portal to all of our indie game booths! Keep an eye on our Discord/the IMS Discord to check in case we decide to take y’all somewhere else in the Virtual Harbor. Maybe we’ll party at Poe’s Nightclub, or say hi to Danny Devito. Whatever floats your boat.
Anyways did I mention this world like, effin’ rules? We put a lot of work into making a special booth that you can fully explore in VR (and on desktop too), inspired by several of the locations we’ve designed for the game! To quote RJ, we Disneyland-ed it. We actually haven’t gotten to see what the booth looks like in-game so it’ll be a surprise for all of us too!

MARCH 27th @ AFTERNOON EST: WATCH VASILY WORK ON AUDIO PRODUCTION
Streaming on both the IMS Discord and our Twitch on March 27th in the Afternoon (final time will be locked on 3/26), our game’s audio engineer, Vas, will be working on audio production for the game!
I have given TJ temporary reigns as our Producer for the day, as I’ll be out! So he’ll be moderating the stream on Discord and Twitch, feeding Vasily any questions you may have on his work on the project.

A streamer at the Makers Play Showcase will be streaming UNBEATABLE on Saturday evening — and we’ll be watching (in fear and excitement) with you! We’ll hang in the Twitch chat to answer questions about the game. If you have any, that is.

MARCH 28th @ AFTERNOON EST: WATCH ANDREW DRAW THE GAME’S KEY ART
Wanna watch our director draw some art? He’ll be doing work on the game’s key art, live @ both the IMS Discord and our Twitch on March 28th in the Afternoon (final time will be locked on 3/26)! Should be the same set-up like it is with Vasily!
This time, I’ll be your moderator for the event — so any questions will be forwarded from you, to me, and then to Andrew as he works on the artwork. This’ll be our last event for the show before we will completely disappear forever.
