D E E P is a journal of experimental cinema and visual internet culture.
It is began as a channel on Vimeo, showcasing short experimental films and art pieces unearthed from the darker parts of the internet.
From there, it became a monthly IRL screening series in New York, first at Videology, now at Nitehawk Cinema.
And then it was adapted into a webseries in collaboration with Memory.
Now it’s here, on Medium.
D E E P will publish periodic interviews and writings around the work featured in the screening series, as well as other finds and musings.
We launch today with two interviews with D E E P artists, Annelise Ogaard and Dani (Leventhal) ReStack, whose work is featured in the latest edition of the webshow.
