d-event : a secure cashless ecosystem for everyone
A brief overview of our participation at Celo Camp
Here we are, one of the 7 finalists of Celo Camp! And we have already gained a lot: experience, new knowledge, encounters with extraordinary people with a mindset like ours, a great organization with teams all over the world, and most of all, the opportunity to establish our project on a public blockchain that matches our expectations in terms of scalability.
As you know, our system allows anyone to create an online marketplace and sell tickets for festivals, services, and even products. By integrating Celo within our ecosystem, we will go international by the use of the cUSD (Celo’s stablecoin backed on the USD).
To carry out this mission, these last few weeks have been very busy, we have built a web version on Celo by integrating cUSD wallet and the creation of events as well as tickets on the Blockchain. In addition to secure ticketing, money transfers are easy and almost instantaneous between wallets.
A common idea of the world
We imagine a world where money is no longer a business in itself but a means of exchange that serves each community fairly and impartially. Our mission at d-event is to bring back financial control to the event organizers and the end users by crossing the cashless with blockchain technologies. These values are very present in the Celo community and this reinforces our collaboration and motivation.
Thanks to our automatic revenue distribution through smart contracts, we will enable organizers to include NGOs and charities in a secure and traceable way. This means that each ticket sold will automatically and instantly feed into each organization’s electronic wallet.
Once we are well established in the event industry, we want to make sure that everyone benefits from our d-epay solution, a global cashless payment solution built on d-event.
Finally, we would also like to thank all our supporters who voted for us and (we hope) will vote for us again during the final on June 11th at the Idea Fair! As well as all the finalists who bring value in the Blockchain sphere and later in the world.
