The Things They Carried Drawing

I drew the scene from The Things They Carried where the soldiers are watching the Vietnamese girl dance while her town is burning down behind her. This scene is important because it shows how she is still able to be strong and as positive as possible while everything around her is getting destroyed. The soldiers are really confused and one of them even makes fun of her. Her whole family is dead and her town is burning down so another soldier threatens him. I think this scene is really meaningful so I decided to draw it. I used pencil only and used a picture of Vietnam to draw the background. I also drew a soldier watching the Vietnamese girl.
