On September 8th, elizabeth tobey announced some enhancements to Medium responses. Let’s take it for a test drive.

Destination: unknown
Route: unknown

Purpose:

  • experiment
  • share
  • engage
  • enjoy

We’ll end this post with a writing prompt. Give it some thought and then share something from your personal perspective by responding to this post (or, if you prefer, just in the privacy of your heart). It could be a full story but it doesn’t have to be long. Just thoughtful.

There’s only one guideline:

  • “This conversation may be recorded for quality assurance…”
Since others may be “listening” or reviewing at a later time, please be respectful and appropriate.

I’m curious how this story will unfold. Community art I suspect. Or it may never even gain momentum. I hope it will.

One of the things I enjoy most about Medium is the engagement level that goes well beyond the recommends, bookmarks and highlights. Throughout all the various communities, you find readers and writers sharing thought-provoking stories, interacting via responses and developing new relationships. Complete strangers inspiring each other through the written word.

It’s really amazing when you take a step back and admire the view.

So here we go…
What you see may surprise you.
I’ll start the story with a personal anecdote.
The rest is still Unwritten.

“One day, I took a long hard look in the mirror…”
