Celebrating 9 Years of Dable!
A Journey of Growth, Resilience, and Community
Dable, a leading content discovery platform for the open web, was founded on May 6th. Therefore, every May, Dablers immerse themselves in a celebratory atmosphere. This year marks the company’s 9th year of operation. Both online and physical events were held to celebrate the foundation anniversary and move towards new milestones. At the event, Founder Chaehyun Lee shared that Dable’s future operating strategy will be geared towards the milestone of becoming an “AI-based 360-degree data solution” company.
Working Together to Grow Steadily
Dable was established in 2015 and launched its Dable personalized content recommendation and native ads solution. The company expanded its services proactively overseas and successfully obtained the largest market shares in Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Impacted by the economic downturn in 2023, Dable shifted its operational strategy and survived. The founder and co-founders thanked all employees for their efforts and contributions in their respective work fields. “As Dablers share the same goals and values with us, the company can conquer all difficulties and hard times over the past 9 years, so we can thrive and grow together,” commented the founder, Chaehyun Lee, emotionally.
To ensure that all employees are familiar with the company’s history and outlook, the founding team organized an online town hall meeting to share their achievements and the challenges they have overcome.
Happy Birthday to Dable!
The event at the Korean headquarters took place at a jazz cafe near the office. The live music created a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. The scene was enhanced with exquisite touches, with refreshments and desserts allowing colleagues to escape from work tension and fully participate in the activities as soon as they entered the venue. Additionally, the human resources department specially ordered a Dable cake, which became the event's highlight.
Chaehyun Lee, the CEO and one of the founders of Dable, took the opportunity to award employees who had been with the company for over 3 years with refreshing vacations. These dedicated employees shared their experiences of working with the company. The CEO also used the opportunity to receive feedback to improve corporate culture and work efficiency.
More Celebrations Overseas!
During the international online event, Dable members were asked to adhere to dress codes that were related to the elements of the Dable logo, such as owl images and blue clothing.
Additionally, to celebrate Dable’s 9th anniversary, overseas members shared their stories associated with the number ‘9’.
A Dabler from Korea shared that by following a strict diet and exercising three to four times a week for 1.5 hours each time over 9 months, she managed to reduce her body fat by 9kg. Her dedication and commitment to her diet and exercise routine impressed everyone for her persistence.
A Dabler from Vietnam shared his story 9 years ago. His grandpa gave him a second-hand Honda 67. He was excited and refurbished the motorcycle by himself then rode on a 400 km trip from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang and Da Lat.
Because of this trip, he experienced severe back pain but never forgot riding across sandy and rocky roads, feeling the wind, the bike crashes, the dirt, and the laughter he shared with friends. Despite spending a bunch of money to fix it after the tour, he still misses those days when he didn’t have to think much about the future and could just enjoy the moment and take too many risks.
Dable 9th-anniversary commemorative merchandise set
To mark the 9th anniversary, commemorative merchandise was prepared for Dable members. Specifically for this occasion, we put together a travel kit featuring the Dable logo for the upcoming summer. This kit includes a passport case, folding seat, beach towel, and a carrier pouch. In addition, all Dablers are granted an extra day off to celebrate Dable’s Foundation Day.
Dable started with 3 people and has now grown to nearly 100 members in 9 years. Without Dablers performing their duties and making contributions, it would have been difficult for this company to achieve and thrive. A deep sense of gratitude was evident in these events, and many Dablers took the opportunity to express their appreciation, making this occasion special and precious.
