The icing on the cake is that we now have 60% of the Malaysian media market share. A feat considering that the Malaysian business was established only in Q4 2019. As we step into Q3, we are more determined than ever to serve our partners better.

Case Study: How Dable’s Cross-Promotion Widget Can Help Publishers Grow Traffic of a Brand New Site

Media Z, a renowned Malaysian news site with millions of daily pageviews launched a brand new lifestyle site at the end of 2021. We knew that Media Z would want to grow the new site’s traffic, and so we proposed a Dable cross-promotion widget with the intention to pull top stories and recent articles from the new site, and have them displayed on Media Z’s existing site. The results came in, and the widget performance spoke for itself! The cross-promotion widget helped Media Z’s new lifestyle site increase traffic, brand awareness, and content consumption.

The Dable cross-promotion widget is a content recommendation widget that pulls out articles from a given site (Site A — or in this case, Media Z’s newly launched lifestyle site), and is displayed on another site (Site B — in this case, Media Z’s renowned high-traffic news site). The cross-promotion widget blends in with the site that it is placed on, and fits the UI/UX of the site. When an article from the widget is clicked, the user will be redirected to the new site, building brand awareness, increasing content consumption, and ultimately, driving traffic to the new site.

Up, Up and Away We Go!

As soon as the Dable cross-promotion widget went live on Media Z’s high-traffic news site, we could see solid traffic generated on the newly launched lifestyle site. Articles from the lifestyle site that appeared on the high-traffic site garnered interest driving readers to consume articles on the brand new site. The cross-promotion widget generated an average of 34,182 clicks a month!

Dable is the second-highest traffic driver of Media X’s new lifestyle site.

Top Traffic Driver

To ensure that we were getting a holistic view of the sources, we deep-dived into Media Z’s new lifestyle site’s traffic sources, observing data over a duration of 3 months. Dable successfully generated 20% of the new site’s traffic, proving to be a solid contributor.

Dable is the second-highest traffic driver of Media X’s new lifestyle site.
