“This content has sensitive expressions and may be limited to be served on certain media.”

Have you ever seen a phrase like the one above on the Dable Marketing Dashboard?

When a content is registered, the sensitivity for each content is set according to the criteria negotiated between Dable and publishers.

If the registered content is classified as ‘sensitive’, you will find a warning phrase (like the one above) on the dashboard. Furthermore if a content is classified as ‘sensitive’, exposure of the ad may be limited on certain media.

The more your contents are classified as ‘non-sensitive’ or clean, the more likely your ads will show on premium media!

Hence, Dable created a guideline on which content is classified as sensitive or unusable by category for advertisers to refer to when creating thumbnail images.

The ‘Content Sensitivity Guideline by Category’ includes examples of categories that are frequently classified as sensitive content,

  • Urology
  • Men’s / Women’s Health Functional Foods and Products
  • Dental Health
  • Weight Loss
  • Beauty/Cosmetic
  • Personal Investing (Non-Certified Investment Advisor)

You can find more detailed information about the content sensitivity levels for these categories.

For the weight loss category, images with a lot of body exposure are classified as sensitive content!

Although the image may appear clean, it may be classified as ‘sensitive’ due to the text.

Sensitive Content

For example, in the weight loss category, thumbnail images showing only one body part such as the breast, waist, and legs are classified as sensitive content and thumbnail images that expose cleavage or show models wearing swimsuits are also included under sensitive content.

Prohibited Content

On the other hand, there are prohibited contents that cannot be used at all.
Thumbnail images with a lot of exposure like a model wearing underwear or are provocative will be rejected at the inspection stage.

If you are curious about which content is classified as sensitive content in other categories besides the example given above, please refer to the Content Sensitivity Guideline by Category below.
