Recently, in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, 43 students of agriculture disappeared after a confrontation with the security forces of the city of Iguala, at the orders of the town’s mayor and his wife, who escaped but have now been caught. The students have not been found. The citizens of Mexico are outraged by the violence, which is connected to the drug cartels, and they have staged several big rallies in Mexico City protesting the corruption and the impunity with which the Mexican government operates.

But a group of Mexican illustrators protested as they know best. They created Ilustradores con Ayotzinapa, a blog on Tumblr where each illustrator asks where is one of the students with a portrait of the student. We invite you to visit this blog. It is far more powerful and touching than any news report. It is a testament to the eloquence and the power of art.
