Amba Maa or Goddess Ambika is one of the Goddesses who is worshipped and accepted by many religions in India. She is also known by other names like Bahuchara Maa, Kalika Maa, Durga Maa etc.

The festival of Navaratri is celebrated in honour of Amba Maa throughout India. It is known by different names like Ramlila in the North, Durga Puja in the East and Kolu in the South. It is an occasion to express our devotion to Amba Maa (Mataji).

Goddess Ambika is adhya shakti i.e. the original energy force. She has the divine power to destroy your worldly obstacles and grant energy to your worldly self (prakruti), thus helping it become natural. She enables your prakruti to become natural and spontaneous (sahaj). When your personality remains and behaves in a natural state, then it is referred to as sahaj prakruti.

Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan says, “You can have peace by worshipping Mataji, and your prakruti (one’s worldly Self) can become natural.”

To become natural means to do what comes into your mind without any interference of the intellect and ego. He says that this is what happens while we do garba. Our body is in a natural style (sahaj), hence, it removes the impurities within us and makes space for right knowledge to enter. If our prakruti becomes natural and spontaneous (sahaj), then it helps us progress in our path to liberation.

Navaratri is a festival of devotion and by worshipping Amba Maa, our prakruti becomes natural, powerful and is energized.
