Moksha means freedom (mukti), freedom from all kinds of suffering!

Many in this world proclaim death as moksha. However, this is not true. One can achieve moksha even while he is very much alive.

Any human being whose Soul is awakened and he experiences

  • freedom from darkness of Self-ignorance,
  • freedom from all impurities such as anger-pride-attachment-greed,
  • freedom from all unhappiness,
  • freedom from all suffering,
  • freedom from all karmas i.e. worldly atoms onto our Soul.

Has achieved Moksha!!

There are two stages of moksha:

  1. The first stage of moksha can be experienced in this life itself…

Any human being who comes to Gnani Purush, the Enlightened One, with the intent that ‘I don’t know anything regarding my Soul; please give me the knowledge of Soul’, and Gnani graces him with Self-Realization, achieves Moksha of the first stage!

This is because by receiving the knowledge of Self, he comes out of the darkness of Self-ignorance and tastes moksha right here and now, while he is alive. If moksha is an experience that can be realized after death, how can one be sure whether there is really such a thing…
