Crypto Mondays first event in Shanghai, featuring DAEX, Penta and more
On June 25th, the first Crypto Mondays event took place at the Taiping Financial Center building located in the financial district of Shanghai, China. This popular gathering takes place amongst 20 cities across 8 countries, with more than 6,000 members in total.
The aim of these events is to bring local blockchain communities and enthusiasts together in an open environment to share ideas and insights about this rapidly growing space. Being “decentralized”, the hosts make efforts to provide free entrance and complimentary drinks, with any money raised being donated to its decentralized governance.
For the first event in Shanghai, the title was named “Real World Integration and Breaking Down Barriers”. The panelists each gave an introduction of their project, how it relates to blockchain technology and the specific needs in the market they will serve. After the inaugural speeches, the audience were then invited to ask questions and add to the discussion.
Mr. Benjamin Gu, Chairman of the Global DAEX Foundation, shared his opinions on current cryptocurrency exchange methods and how clearing and settlement differs from the traditional financial securities industry.
There were several attendees (more than 50 in total) engaging in conversations both privately and within groups. It was a great chance for all kinds of blockchain enthusiasts to network, learn more about cryptocurrencies and the potential of what blockchain technology can achieve.
With the first Crypto Mondays Shanghai event being a success, we look forward to attending more in the future.
