This month we are proud to announce our partnership with Applied AI Canada and Learning Economy. It’s finally time to meet them!

Learning Economy

What if educators, students, employers, and technologies could all translate value and information without sacrificing privacy or proprietary value? Learning Economy (LE) is an open, infrastructure-layer protocol that leverages blockchains (i.e. Learning Ledgers) and machine learning to quantify soft and hard skills, helping to measure which courses, content, and experiences ultimately lead to soft/hard skills, workplace advancement, and local/global impact and value. The result: real-time feedback on human capital investment and an equitable economy that pays students to learn and pays stewards for the value added to the global institution of education.

Their history/Roadmap:

• Sept 2018: Protocol Announced at United Nations

• Nov 2018: Protocol Featured as G20 Cover Story

• Jan 2019: Announced Pilots & Steering at Davos

• April 2019: Regulation Research at Harvard Kennedy School

• May 2019: Equity Research at Claremont McKenna

• June 2019: G20 Coverage on Regulation Study

• Sept 2019: Publish Whitepaper at UNGA

• Nov 2019: Publicly Launch Protocol at WISE

• Jan 2020: Initial Innovation Lab Cohorts Begin

• Jan 2020: Announce Partner Nodes at Davos

Taylor Kendal is the Chief Strategy Advisor of Learning Economy and shared with us some of his excitement and contributions to DAIA ecosystem:

“Learning Economy is excited to join DAIA based on the shared ethos and goals of creating new infrastructures and systems that equitably serve humanity and allow us to collectively solve common challenges and create a bright future.

We can contribute network extensions and thought leadership. We would also be open to exploring collaborative writing projects via our partner publication, Diplomatic Courier as well as opportunities to participate and present at: https://www.globaltalentsummit.org (our partner event). Happy to make a connection to Co-founder, Ana Rold if these opportunities are of interest. We would like to find opportunities to intersect our networks and audiences more intentionally and better understand how our protocol can supplement the work of DAIA. We are soon to launch our white paper and protocol and would welcome feedback from the DAIA community. We also have an official state-wide Lab being deployed in Colorado and would be open to inviting a representative to join for our kick-off (late Jan 2020)”.

How can you get involved?

Initially founded by Dr. Ben Goertzel, Simone Giacomelli of SingularityNET and Toufi Saliba of TODA/IP, founder of AI Decentralized, DAIA has created the world’s largest network of decentralized AI projects aiming to cooperate and solve some of the most pressing issues of our time. DAIA believes that technology should be developed in a manner that is: 1) decentralized in governance and control, 2) judiciously open, 3) transparent and privacy compliant, 4) participatory, 5) inclusive, 6) resilient, 7) creative, 8) ethically understanding and 9) compassionate. The core motivation of DAIA, to foster the development of decentralized AI technologies, emerges from the desire on the part of Alliance members to ensure that the ongoing rise of AI is aligned with human values, including the full breadth and diversity of human culture and understanding.

We are welcoming the participation of those corporations that are sincere about their aim and goal of democratizing AI. The open access networks that have come together to form DAIA are enabling such a democratization process.
