ReLeaf Herbal Cooperative — Dispensary Review — Feb 2018
Located at 1284 Mission Street, ReLeaf Herbal Cooperative opened its doors to the SoMa neighborhood of San Francisco more than 10 years ago.
As of January 6, 2018, ReLeaf can now serve cannabis to anyone over the age of 21.
So, why is there a line at 4:30 PM on a Friday afternoon?! (turns out there was a team meeting)
We were eventually allowed to step inside and off the Mission St. sidewalk — where there’s always a chance anything could happen. Just in the 18 minutes that I waited patiently, I heard a car run into a pedestrian and saw a man open his shirt to expose his very muscular chest for the queue to either admire or fear — his intentions were not clear.
If you want to avoid the crazies and drug users that tend to congregate on this particular city block, then you might consider getting dropped off instead of approaching by foot.
Once inside, it’s impossible not to feel some immediate relief. Compared with the constant craziness of Mission St., the spacious rolling/smoking lounge and sweet smell are very welcome.
Nearly everyone in front of me was a first-time customer and needed to check-in, so I only waited a minute in line before getting to see Anastasia, my budtender.
Anastasia gladly answered my questions about their pre-roll selection. They offer pre-rolls that they make themselves with small leftover buds, as well as pre-rolls made by other companies.
I chose a pre-roll of Sour Kush — a cross between Sour Diesel and OG Kush.
The total weight of the pre-roll is more than a gram and a half — so it easily contains more than a full gram of dried cannabis — all for $5+tax.
I find the “cone” style of pre-roll to sometimes not burn evenly or allow an easy inhalation. I fought with this one for a bit and wasn’t able to effectively burn about 20%. I think the cannabis is ground so finely that it has a tendency to burn very quickly, or not at all.
